Translation, not sure

I found this in a course, "a lo mejor" translated by "it's probably just that". Is that a Spanish expression and the translation is correct. I had the impression that it would rather mean "at best". Thanks for your inputs

  • The translation you found is a good one. A lo mejor means "may be". Eg.: A lo mejor no ha llegado todavĂ­a. ( May be she hasn't arrived yet.
