In Russian, it is necessary to know if the verb is imperfective or perfective to know which verb to type. Is there a way to include this information at the top of the typing tests?

the Russian "conventions" currently say that you should "say whether the verb is perfective or imperfective", but don't say where you should put the information. We should make that clearer.
There are two options so that the information would show up during testing:
you could put (perfective) or (imperfective) after the english definition
you could put "perfective verb" or "imperfective verb" int he "part of speech".
Which do you think would look cleaner? Are there any other points we should consider? Let me know what you think and I can change the conventions accordingly.
Of the two options, the second is better. I had thought of doing that, but it was my understanding from reading the convention that it would be outside of what is desirable. That will be easy to change on my part and will solve my immediate problem.
In the long run, I think the design should include "part of speech", "gender", and "special properties" at the top of the word frame. These appear on the "edit" page but only "part of speech" appears in the word frame. The Russian verb aspect would fall nicely into "special properties". I realize such a design change is a big pain, but you did ask for feedback.
You are absolutely right that the other fields such as gender and special properties should be more visible during learning; this will happen, hopefully quite soon.
It is another question as to whether and when they should be visible during testing, as they sometimes give away the answer. The "part of speech" field is visible during testing, so that would be the best place to put the verb aspect at the moment. I will update the conventions accordingly,
