Having individual leaderboards for topics makes learning more competitive and fun. You can give high fives to people you overtake on the leaderboard. Anyone else with the same opinion?

My recollection is that the leaderboard on the right side of the topic page was actually the leaderboard for your cohort. A bit confusing, which perhaps is why it's gone.
Maybe I'm wrong but I remember that there was just topic relative leaderboard. I saw there people no one of which was my cohort. And it was very interesting to check out personal progress with people who learn the same language.
Agreed.
But I don't remember leaderboards per course or language - were they an earlier feature?
