Russian Grammar

It's always good to research myself to look for guides. But sometimes I pick one that a native would deem as bad or just downright horrible to learn from. For that reason I've decided I'd ask for help from anyone who knows of a good website to start learning Russian grammar.

I don't plan to start seriously for a few more months as I get the alphabet and sounds down - but it would be nice to have the resources to get started when I decide to.

  • http://masterrussian.com/ has some grammar lessons, and also a LOT of other really useful topics/lessons. I also believe they have audio clips for words. And if you visit their forums you can probably meet natives.

http://www.livemocha.com/ will be good if you just want simple lessons but get great interaction with native russian speakers. Everyone on their is really friendly and active and you can probably find speaking partners very fast.

http://www.listenlive.eu/russia.html I don't know how much this may help you but personally I found that once I had better vocabulary, it was useful to hear Russian Radio in order to grasp how fluency sounds.

    Good luck, hope it helps.

  • Thanks a ton for the first one and the radio link.

I guess I really need to try to get into the livemocha community. Their lessons never seem to stick with me or help - but natives and other learners definitely do help!

  • Google "Princeton Russian Course". The best free Russian course available, with audio and plenty of grammatical explanations.
