Agreed! An Android app would be fantastic. Heck if it was done well (current track record indicates it would be) the apps could provide a revenue source eh? Just throwing that out there as I've fallen for this program and would like to see it prosper.
I would love a droid app. I'm going on a 4-month trip with my smart phone and I dread to think what my garden will be like when I return if I can't keep practicing.
I'm getting a galaxy tab, so I need to ask there's app for android and where I need to download it... and how many it cost? can you answer me that please?
Although a native Android app would be great, I've been running the standard Memrise site on my Android phone without problems (using Chrome browser), so long as I use it for only learning and reviewing, and not trying to edit items or add mems etc.
Ditto on all of this- I think I'd be more likely to use Memrise every day with an Android app. I'd be willing to shell out a few bucks too. Any updates on this?
Listen to 'garethbarbareth'… continuing to post here isn't speeding up development.
We know that an Android app is in development (see the first comment), so please wait for updates from the Memrise team.
The only thing happening when you post comments such as "+1" and "Me too" is the clogging-up of peoples' email inboxes! (As the OP, I get at least one email notification a day from this thread… please stop!)
A user "anty" has developed an Android application for use on Android 4.1 - and while it's not fully featured (can't synch to your garden) it may be better than nothing for some of you.
Ah, the inability to search forums effectively led to this "duplicate" question.
I see that mathias has made a comment in the thread "Let's talk about mobile!" (http://www.memrise.com/thread/489048/#c19958):
"Android is definitely one of our next platforms, I cant give you and exact timeline but Im hoping to give you an in depth update in the next weeks."
That was posted on 26th April 2012.
Posted by fakelvis 5/4/12 (1 year ago)Any update on an Android version? Would be very handy for me on my Android phone and recently purchased tablet.

Posted by pyrachi 7/8/12 (10 months ago)While I would also love a native app, Chrome for Android runs the web app quite nicely on both my Galaxy Nexus (4.65") and Transformer Prime (10").

Posted by piggish 7/17/12 (10 months ago)Please do. Even considering that my tablet is wider than the average (10"), the performance of memrise is not the best.

Posted by Keltchick 7/22/12 (10 months ago)Yes, the site is pretty unusable on a Nexus 7. An Android app would be nice. Either that or fixing the site.
