Bugs Word popping in...

This happens because I selected to ignore a word. Now I have another one (correr) popping in every set.

Which word did you ignore? that one? I will look into this for you at once.

No, I ignored another word but I forgot which.

I am learning a new set of 5. I skipped the oh so useful word for beginners "el robado" (position #2 in the set of 5) and next thing that happens it's asking me to type "to run - correr", this one is not part of the set.

In the same set I am asked for Organizar that I enter 1/2 a million times in the previous sets but is NOT part of the sets I'm learning. So both Organizar and Correr are popping in with no reason.

More info to debug. I just started to learn a new set by clicking on the green button from the course page. It asked me to type Correr, which I did and that was the end of the session. Next, nothing, it took me directly to http://www.memrise.com/cave/waypoint/

Ok I think I partially got the answer to the problem. Correr seems to be the last word I have to learn however it never goes to the greenhouse.

Just by curiosity, could you confirm that I skipped 117 words in the list Introductory Spanish? Thanks.

When will we have control over the skipped words, any ETA?

Referring to my previous post I found another discrepancy. Looking at the course from my main page I see 900/963. Looking at the numbers after taking a test I see 846/963.

Ben, this bug is getting really annoying. I'm working on a list in which I have to ignore lots of entries I don't find useful. The more I skip, the more words get stuck in the Seeds screen. Those words are not the ones I skipped, they are some words that I learned but do not get to the learned garden. I cannot see (and edit) the next set. Also the same unsaved words pop over and over in the quizzes. Let me know if you need a screenshot. Thanks Also I'm willing to Skype you to explain better what is happening, if necessary.

This does sound really really annoying. Sorry for my delay in replying; just trying to get a firm answer on when we can get this fixed. I still haven't got that firm answer, but I thought I would reply to let you know that I hadn't forgotten you, and that we are working on it. The way we deal with ignored words is one of the big things that we need to fix urgently, and it will be right at the top of the list next week.

I also think that this is being compounded by a different issue in this case - I think that the words that you can't edit are words that have been moved to another topic, and that is also causing trouble with the scheduling. Could you leave a note on any of these items and I will switch them back - the tell-tale signs are that the field names might be "word" and "definition", rather than "Spanish" and "english", and that at the top of the page when you are on a word detail page it will say "SPanish - karen's...." rather than just "Spanish". If you make a comment on any items like that then I will get them fixed at once, and we are locking things to make sure that items can't jump topics in future. But first we need to get them all back where they are supposed to be.

Not sure it has anything to do with this issue but sometimes I see a reference to German around the top.

Yes, that may well have a bearing on it. I have been moving those back to the "Spanish" topic as I find them, but if you could keep pointing them out that would be hugely appreciated.

I understand Ben and yeah I'll keep commenting. Another clue of my skipping issue: it takes 1 or 2 days for things to get back to normal, meaning the problem clears up. Today I see in the seeds list the words that were stuck, that I hadn't 'learned', yet I had been quizzed on over and over.

I tried planting those seed and no way Jose. I click on Plan button and instead of 'learning' them I am being tested on them yet they stay in the Seeds to be planted screen so basically I'm stuck.

Any ETA on a fix? It's now been 2 weeks I reported the issue and I have several lists where some dead words are just hanging in the Seeds. I can't plant them and can't see the next set of 5 either.

I'm really sorry that it has taken so long. We have been focusing on a bunch of big development tasks that have run on a bit, and bug fixes like this have been delayed. We should be able to get onto them in the next couple of days. Thank you for the detailed report - it should be a huge help in getting it fixed really fast.

Other clue if that can help debugging...I un-ignored a word and the system let me learn it but not the others that are still stuck in the seeds. They are part of the test during learning but do not go to the greenhouse. They must be flagged as learned somewhere but not in the greenhouse table.
