I've been hearing a few questionable pronunciations lately, with a male voice from someone who doesn't really sound like they understand Esperanto phonetics very well. Am I just misjudging and they're actually right, or has anyone else noticed this too?
You are right. I have noticed errors, too. Both in pronunciations and in word lists. In what courses have you noticed these?
You can check right pronunciation examples e.g. on www.lernu.net. Letters are always pronounced in same way regardless where they are in words.
Excuse me for my possible English mistakes. English is my fourth language.

While I can make a list, giving curators the ability to replace sounds would save a lot of effort as we can fix them in our normal editing process.

THanks and best wishes

Posted by benwhately 5/1/12 (1 year ago)I've only just started to learn Esperanto this week, so I might be wrong, but I think the pronunciation of "pafi" is wrong.
