Could you add 'barbecue' as an alternative?

I'm from a part of the US, where people never really say 'barbecued' in the past tense. Its a kind of odd English word--very much in flux. So, you allow '_barbecue' or 'barbecued' already. I've gotten this wrong probably three times, because I keep answering 'barbecue'.

  • This sounds a bit odd - "barbecue" is already there as an alternative, so it should definitely accept "barbecue" as an answer - the "" just means taht that answer won't show up during a learning session, which helps to keep the interface cleaner.

I will have a look at your learning logs and try to track down why you were marked wrong for that, because it sounds like something is going wrong.

    Apologies for the annoyance,

    Best wishes

    Ben

  • If do go to the trouble to look at the logs, report back what you find. It could be user error on my part--I somehow mistyped it. Once I hit return, I can't see exactly what I typed. I think since I wrote this it came up and I answered "to barbecue" and it worked.
