hi all.. if anyone ever notices that a word is added wrongly, missing an accent or whatever, please either post a link in this forum explaining what is wrong, and a link to the wrong word, OR post a comment next to the word. What you shouldn't do is post a memo saying this word is wrong.. because once it has been corrected, you will have a mem there that is really of no use to anyone.
thanks guys,
kind regards,
mango.
Apologies as this is aimed at me I'm sure. Sometimes it isn't possible to edit words so how do you comment next to the word? I will look at this today. Sorry again.

Posted by AaronJamesDodd 1/22/12 (1 year ago)hi AJ, if you look at any word.. for example: http://www.memrise.com/item/79... , you will see next to the "mem tab", there is also a comment tab.. but having given this a little more thought, I would appreciate if you post in this forum.. the thing is I am likely to see a thread in this forum, but I have no way of subscribing to all comments for all words, so if you were to comment on an individual word, chances are I wouldn't see it anyway.I think it would be a good idea to give the title of such threads something standard, like "FALSE ENTRY ALERT: followedbynameofword", and then explain why the word is wrong, what it should be, and post a direct link to the word" I think this will be the best way to get my attention, and I'll get straight onto it.. Create a new thread for each wrong word.. Equally, feel free to discuss any other entries you are unsure of as separate threads, or even any improvements that you think could be made to the FAQs section..what do you think? would that work well? regards, mango

As for the FAQ i'll think about it, I'm back in work tomorrow though and I§ll have less time to think about it. I'll try and help you with all of this as much as time and other commitments allow.

Posted by AaronJamesDodd 1/22/12 (1 year ago)linking to a word is relatively easy.. all you have to do is navigate yourself to the entry page of the word in question, and then go to your address bar in your browser, highlight it all, and copy it (control C if you're on a PC), then just start the thread in the forum, and you can control V (paste) it into the thread you've created..

Posted by mangodurian 1/22/12 (1 year ago)Thanks, I assumed it would work like that. Next time that will be the plan.
