Correct kanji marked incorrect

How do you type the character? Do you use romaji or IME? If using IME, do you enter the kanji itself or kana reading?

Just saw you brought up this issue here as well. Do you experience this problem with items from only the Kanji section or in both the Kanji and Japanese section.

Which takes me to the next question: There is no Kanji typing in the Japanese Kanji section. So are you talking about the Kana input tests in this case? Please specify so we can fix the issue adequately.

Hi! Sorry, I'm not too familiar with the forums, so I just put the question on both. I believe my problem is with the Japanese section, not the Kanji section. The input test I'm talking about is the one where you type in the kana and convert it to the appropriate kanji before pressing enter.

Well, in vocabulary courses you have 2 types of questions: one that requires you to put pronunciation (meaning typing test), which you can input in IME hiragana or romaji. The other, kanji typing test, requires to first type in IME and then convert it to proper kanji characters. So I guess you're just using kanji in "meaning typing test" that reqires hiragana/romaji input.

@HaleyStarshine - Thank you for your input. I can assure you, however, that it is not a matter of incorrect input during a meaning typing test. The problem is certainly with the kanji typing test. If you have any other suggestions, though, I would be very happy to hear from you again.

I think I've just encountered similar problem with one word. In this case it was おしいれ and my IME suggested different spelling (押入れ) from the one on the list　(押し入れ). Of course the answer was marked as wrong. Maybe your problem was somehow related?

Hi, Thanks for your comment. I've managed to fix the problem by becoming a curator and retyping the kanji. I'm not sure what went wrong, but it shouldn't be a problem from now on.

This seems to be related to the Japanese Kanji section as well. I know of 田 and 西 always get marked as incorrect when appearing in a Kana input tests. It would be great if anyone could fix those two.

Hmmm, I'm not quite sure whether what I did would work, as there are the two readings in the kana section. I'm not very familiar with the kanji topic, sorry. Maybe someone else might know a way to fix it?

Had the same reason for　田 and already fixed it today. Try if it works now. Also did a little fix on 西. Please report if these still do not work, then I have to look into more drastic measures...

I also have problem with http://www.memrise.com/item/737053/to-rise-40/?iset=jlpt-n4-kanji-2 It doesn't accept "o" as correct reading for this character, probably because of wrong semicolon separating Japanese and Chinese readings. I would also change the main English translation from "rise" to less ambiguous "get up" or "wake up".

I changed the semi-colon on 起. Thank you. I am hesitant to change it to "wake up" since the kanji is in other common words that refer to 'rise' without meaning 'wake up'.. I will leave that decision up to Giton haha. :)

Haven't made it to 起 yet, but since you ask... :-) I personally would prefer "get up, arise" for this one. Both verbs and most of the Jukugo use either one of these two meanings.

Okay thanks. 西 works but 田 is still bugged.

Ok I could fix 田 by merging it onto a new entry, but unfortunately it seems all the Mems got lost during the process...

O_O!!! How could that even happen! So bugged!

Had the feeling before that mems sometimes do not get transfered when merging, at least in the Kanji section. So I preferentially merge those items that do not have any mems at all. Unfortunately the 田 entry was bugged beyond repair...
