קָא

[helping verb]

Auxiliary verb used with the particple, which doesn't need to be translated; sometimes annexed to the next word, e.g. קאמר (" says") is short for קא אמר. E.g. קא משמע לן ("it tells us"), introduces the conclusion of a צריכותא: "It (the seemingly redundant source) tells us (some important fact)." by klewis434
