Hyakunin isshu (百人一首) is a traditional anthology style of compiling Japanese waka poetry where each contributor writes one poem for the anthology.
This course is for a 競技かるた deck used for the competitive version of the game based on one such anthology.
It is created to help players memorise 決まり字 (the first few sounds of the top half of the poem, with which each card in the deck can be uniquely identified).
Prerequisite: reading and writing Japanese kana
