This is a course for conversational Cantonese words. This means that while there is a lot of everyday vocab in here, you most likely won't be able to understand newscasters when they speak. This is simply due to the fact that Cantonese involves a lot of slang—slang that newscasters can't use on TV. It should also be noted that Cantonese speakers use traditional characters, so if you've learnt Mandarin before, some characters may look a bit different to you.
